One column, three places to put something down. The headset hangs on a curved walnut yoke, the controller sits in a cradle on the post, and everything else that ends up loose on the desk goes in the tray at the bottom.

Three zones, one column

The yoke is cut to the curve of a headband and the edges are eased, so it carries the weight across the band instead of creasing one spot in the padding. The cradle is a separate part: slide it up or down the post, and turn it round so the controller faces whichever way you reach from.
