Warm golden-brown with pronounced medullary ray fleck patterns visible where the wood edge meets the resin channel. Denser than walnut at 1360 Janka. The mid-tone base creates strong contrast against deeply pigmented fills and stays readable against clear or light resin. Kiln-dried to 8% MC, then air-stabilized in-house for an average of 5 years.
